Bottle Cap Challenge
Bottle Cap Challenge (German for screw cap challenge ) is an internet phenomenon that emerged in mid-2019. Videos are published on social media in which the screw cap of a bottle is twisted off the bottle with a roundhouse kick .

On June 25, 2019, the Kazakh taekwondo teacher Farabi Davletchin (@farakicks, Master Fa) posted an 18-second video on Instagram in which he showed the trick for the first time.
A chain of celebrities followed, who also posted videos of their success in the Challenge and then challenged other celebrities:
- Fashion designer Errolson Hugh
- Martial arts fighter Max Holloway
- Musician John Mayer , challenged by Max Holloway
- Actor Jason Statham , challenged by John Mayer
- Director Guy Ritchie , challenged by Jason Statham
The challenge spread virally, the access rates of individual videos rose into the millions. On Instagram , there were soon thousands of participants under the hashtag #bottlecapchallenge.
German celebrities also took part in the challenge. Over time, variations also appeared, for example by Mariah Carey , who "sang" the cap off with her voice, or by Kendall Jenner , who drove up to the bottle on a jet ski .
