Bouguer is an impact crater on the southern edge of Mare Frigoris , north of Bianchini crater . It lies on an almost straight line between the craters La Condamine in the west and Foucault in a west-southwest direction. The eye-catching Harpalus crater can be seen directly to the west .

Bouguer is a relatively young crater with a well-defined rim. It is essentially circular, but has slight bulges of the crater wall in the east, north-northwest and southwest. In the eastern bulge there are traces of scree slides. The crater floor takes up about half the diameter and is relatively flat and without features.
