Bouillon Racine is a well-known restaurant in Paris that opened in 1906. It is located in the 6th arrondissement at 3 rue Racine. The nearest metro station is Odéon .

history

Bouillon Racine was opened by Camille Chartier in 1906, after the Famille opened a restaurant on Rue du Temple in 1895, Chez Chartier in 1896 and Vagenende in 1905 . Opened under the name Bouillon Chartier (see Bouillons ), the restaurant is located near the Latin Quarter . The interior was designed by the architect Jean-Marie Bouvier . On the step of the entrance is a mosaic called CHARTIER.

The interior of the Bouillon Racine has not changed much since it opened. The decor in the Art Deco style , richly mirrored and with many floral elements, give the room a lush splendor. The floral representations made of glass paste are by Louis Trézel . Since 1956 the Bouillon Racine was a canteen for the employees of the Sorbonne . Since the renovation in 1986 it has regained its former glory and is now a popular restaurant.
