The Boyne River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland .

River course

The river has its source on the northern edge of the Bunya Mountains , around 35 kilometers southwest of the city of Kingaroy . From there it flows to the northwest and forms the reservoir of the same name near the small town of Boondooma . At the north end it exits again and continues its course to the north-west. About 10 kilometers southwest of Mundubbera it flows into the Burnett River .
