Boys Only is the fourth and final album by the punk band The Boys before they split up in 1981.

History of origin

After the The Yobs Christmas album from the winter of 1980/1981, both the single Let It Rain / Lucy and the album Boys Only were released on January 30, 1981 . It is the first album without keyboard player Casino Steele, who left shortly after the previous album To Hell with the Boys . The album was widely acclaimed by the UK music press, highlighting the group's extremely British humor. It received good reviews from Melody Maker and Record Mirror . The good reviews could not cover up the bad sales figures and so the record company Safari Records separated from the group. Due to the renewed disappointment with their record company, tensions also spread in the group. The boys' careers lagged behind. In March 1981 a tour was announced, but bassist Duncan Reid had already left the group in advance. Shortly afterwards, the group disbanded for good.
