The Bräunleinsberg industrial park is part of the Ottensoos community in Middle Franconia .
geography
The industrial park is located about one kilometer northwest of the center of Ottensoos and is at an altitude of 325 m above sea level. NHN , the federal highway 14 leads past him immediately to the south. The connection to this street is established via the so-called Bräunleinsknoten , which is located on the southeast corner of the industrial park.
history
A Chausseehaus built around 1800 was the first building to be erected on the Bräunleinsberg corridor.
The development of the industrial area on Bräunleinsberg, however, only began after the Second World War, when the Uhl & Moos concrete plant was built there. Willibald Uhl and Franz Moos, two expellees from the Sudetenland, founded this company in 1945. Their production focused on the manufacture of pipes, because in the post-war period there was a great demand for this to restore the infrastructure that had been destroyed during the war. The nearby sand pits proved to be a locational advantage. The delivery of the materials still required for the concrete production, ballast and gravel, was made easier by the convenient location on federal highway 14. With around 80 employees, Uhl & Moos was the largest employer in the Ottensoos community at the end of the 1960s. However, the company had to be liquidated in 1986 because the owner Franz Moos died in 1984.
After the area, which was originally only developed for the Uhl & Moos company, was expanded, other companies that are active in very different sectors settled on the Bräunleinsberg. Beverages-Ziegler, which is active in the beverage wholesale business, is the largest company in the industrial park. In 2002 it employed around 200 people.
Immediately north of Bräunleinsberg, another industrial area has emerged, but it is beyond the municipal boundary of Ottensoos. This area belongs to the municipality of Neunkirchen am Sand , but it does not form an official part of the municipality there. Since the two commercial areas flow into one another, they are sometimes also referred to as the Bräunleinsberg-Seeäckerstraße commercial area .
