The Brabrand Kirke (Eng. Church of Brabrand ) is a church of the parish in Brabrand , which belongs to the Århus Vestre Provsti in the diocese of Århus . It is located directly on the approximately 800 meters wide and approximately 3 kilometers long Brabrandsee.

The oldest parts of the church date from the first half of the 13th century. Before that there was a wooden church in the same place. It is unusual that the church is not oriented towards the east with the choir, as usual, but towards the lake. The original church, built around 1200, was still facing east. In the period from 1300 to 1500 the church was expanded, but across the existing nave, and the orientation of the church was changed. The steeple was not added until 1880.

The altar panel dates from 1595 and is a work of the Renaissance . When the church was expanded, it was moved to the new choir on the south side of the church and was last redesigned in 1924-1925. Today's altarpiece with Jesus on the Sea of Galilee by Jens Hansen-Aarslev dates from 1895. The Romanesque baptismal font dates from the time the church was founded. The baptismal bowl used there was made of pewter in 1686. The cup of communion from 1551 is particularly precious.
