Bradley Michael "Brad" Pitt (born November 8, 1981 in Rosebud ) is an Australian heavyweight amateur boxer.

Career

Pitt is from Blairgowrie , Victoria, and is a house painter. In March 2006 he won the gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne by beating the Indian Harpreet Singh in the final . On July 23, 2006 he boxed in Darwin for the national championship title, but lost to Adam Forsyth .

At the 2007 World Boxing Championships in Chicago , Pitt was eliminated in the first round against the later bronze medalist Yushan Nijiati (China). At the Oceanic Championships in April 2008 in Apia , however, he qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with a final victory over Adam Forsyth . Here he was eliminated on August 13, 2008 in the round of 16 against the Moroccan Mohamed Arjaoui .
