Yushan Nijiati (born July 1, 1986 in Altay ) is a former Chinese boxer from the Uyghur ethnic group . His greatest achievement was winning a bronze heavyweight medal at the 2007 World Championships .
Career
The roughly 1.88 m tall heavyweight boxed in the Chinese national team since 2006. He became Chinese champion in 2006 and 2007 and won a bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships in the USA . After victories against Brad Pitt (27:15), Yamiko Chinula (27:13), Ihab Darweesh ( canceled by the referee) and József Darmos (28:11), he only lost in the semifinals against Clemente Russo (11:19).
He then started at the 2008 Olympic Games , where he lost in the first fight against Oleksandr Ussyk (4:23). He achieved another success by winning the silver medal in the super heavyweight division at the 2011 World Military Games in Brazil .
