Bram Peper

Abraham (Bram) Peper (born February 13, 1940 in Haarlem ) is a Dutch sociologist and politician of the Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA).

As a politician, he was mayor of Rotterdam from 1982 to 1998 and interior minister in the Kok II cabinet from 1998 to 2000 . He was also a professor at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Nyenrode University of Economics .

He was married to EU Commissioner and VVD party member Neelie Kroes .
