Industry mix

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The presence of stores from different sectors in shopping centers , industrial parks or city districts is referred to as a sector mix . The term is also used to distinguish it from the monostructure for the settlement of different companies in a city, region or country. A mix of industries serves to avoid vacancies and to create equivalent living conditions .

Various factors such as purchasing power , social environment, catchment area or development contribute to the success of a business location. The business tax multiplier, for example, is an important factor in the municipal location policy.

In a shopping center, the focus is often on an anchor tenant , who is used to orient the branch mix. In addition, the different types of use in the property and in the surrounding area determine economic success. For example, supermarkets are often arranged in the entrance area with bakers and butchers ( store in the store ).
