The Brandenberger Bluff is a steep and 1650 m high cliff in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . In the Flood Range , it rises on the extreme north side of Mount Berlin .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1966 after coming out of Switzerland coming American glaciologists Arthur J. Brandenberger (1916- 2003), who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program from 1962 to 1963 involved in the exploration of Marie Byrd Land by land, which was started by Byrd Station .
