Brandon Wagner

Brandon Wagner (born March 4, 1987 in Lafayette , Indiana ) is an American racing driver . He competed in several Indy Lights races from 2008 to 2012 .

Career

Wagner began his motorsport career in karting in 1999 and was active in this sport until 2003. In 2004 he switched to the midget car sport and started in the US Midget series until 2011.

In 2008 his family financed his participation in the season finale of the Indy Lights . In the overall standings, he finished 37th. In 2009, Wagner received a cockpit from Davey Hamilton Racing and completed 7 of 15 races of the season. His best placings were two eleventh places and he finished the season in 24th place overall. In 2010 he stayed with Davey Hamilton Racing and was used in the five oval races of the season. After two eighth places, he won his first race in the Indy Lights at the season finale in Homestead . It was also his team's first win. In the overall standings, he improved to 13th place. In 2011 Wagner again took part in the oval races of the Indy Lights. He entered three races for Davey Hamilton Racing and three races for the Moore Racing team. A fourth place was his best result. At the end of the season he was 15th overall. In 2012 , Wagner took part in an Indy Lights race for Team E.
