Brandt Brauer Frick is a techno project from Berlin . The basis of the project are sounds from the instruments of classical music, which were initially sampled and later performed live in a ten-person ensemble.

history

The group was founded in Berlin in 2008. The approach was to unite repetitive and groovy formulas of electronic dance music with the sound world of new classical music. For this purpose, instrumental parts of classical musical instruments were recorded and electronically processed as samples . The three-piece band made their first appearance at the C3 Festival in the Berlin Technoclub Berghain . E-drums , keyboard and groove box served as instruments here . With the change to the music label ! K7 , new musicians were added and the music was also performed live under the name Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble . The ensemble has performed at a number of international festivals, including the Glastonbury Festival , Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Haldern Pop (all 2011).
