history

Brassaranka 2019

Brassaranka was founded in 2013 by tuba player and head of the ensemble Matthias Haslinger and drummer Martin Ortner. Almost all of the musicians received classical musical training and some of them already knew each other from working with the youth brass band Upper Austria and the Upper Austria military music .

The ensemble plays traditional Bohemian-Moravian and Egerland brass music. The program also includes numerous original compositions by Haslinger and arrangements of current pop and party music.

In 2016 Brassaranka reached the 2nd place as Vice-European Champion in the highest level at the European Championship of Bohemian-Moravian Brass Music in Brand-Nagelberg . In 2018 the orchestra became European champion in the highest level at the European championship of Bohemian-Moravian brass music in Nesselwang with 1st place . Brassaranka performed, among other things, at the Woodstock Festival of Blasmusik Allerhandstage 2017 and Mainstage 2018, Blechlawine and the Musikprob Festival.

The first sound carrier Schwungscheibm was produced in 2019 .
