The Hönig brewery is a brewery in Tiefenellern in Upper Franconia (municipality of Litzendorf ). The annual output is around 6,500 hectoliters.

history

The brewery was founded in 1478. The brewery and inn have been family-owned since 1778. The brewery's inn is also called “Zur Post”, because up until 1911 there was a post office here, including a saddlery and horse stable.

Products

The beer types lager , pils , wheat beer and the so-called “Posthörnla” (slightly smoky) are brewed in the brewery all year round . Seasonally there is festival beer at Christmas and Easter as well as Christmas buck from the penultimate Friday in October. Seven different non-alcoholic drinks are also produced.

Others

The brewery is a member of the Brauring , a cooperation between private breweries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
