The Hummel Brewery is a beer brewery in Merkendorf in Upper Franconia , a district of the Memmelsdorf municipality in the Bamberg district . The brewery has an annual production of 9,000 hectoliters.

history

The brewery has existed since 1556. It has been in the family since 1846 . The brewery has an inn with a beer garden.

Brewing process

Be used Hallertau hops, Bamberger malt from local barley and wheat and brewing water from the company's own deep wells. The yeast-cloudy varieties remain unfiltered, the other varieties use kieselguhr filtration.

Products

The product range includes the beer types Pils , Kellerbier , Märzen , Räucherla , Cowboy Schwarzbier , Weissbier light , Weissbier dark , light wheat beer , 1162 Rauchfestbier and Radler all year round .

Festbier light , Festbier dark , Zwickelbier , Dunkler Bock , Leonhardi Bock light , Heller Maibock , Räucherator Doppelbock and Weizenbock are produced seasonally . Each bottle is filled in crown cork bottles .

The schnapps and liqueurs light beer schnapps , dark beer schnapps , bock beer liqueur light and bock beer liqueur dark are produced in swing- top bottles .
