Braunauer Rundschau

The Braunauer Rundschau was one of a total of 14 regional editions of the Oberösterreichischen Rundschau and was founded in 1881 as Neue Warte am Inn.In 1986 it got its name from the merger of several regional papers to form the Oberösterreichische Rundschau. The strengths of the individual partial editions lay in their regional focus.

The Kaufzeitung Braunauer Rundschau appeared on Thursdays with a circulation of 19,000 and reached around 80 percent of households in the Braunau am Inn district . The free Sunday Rundschau achieved with a circulation of 31,520 pieces just over 90% of all households in the district. The Braunauer Rundschau also reported on the neighboring Salzburger Flachgau and the Bavarian communities on the Inn and Salzach . The regional edition, with the exception of the printing of the newspaper, was produced entirely in Braunau.

The owner closed the Braunauer Rundschau at the end of 2008. The Oberösterreichische Nachrichten has been publishing the Thursday supplement Braunauer Warte am Inn since the beginning of 2009. You tie in with the tradition of the Neue Warte on the Inn.
