Breaker Island

Breaker Iceland (of English breaker , tidal wave, surf wave ' ) is a small rocky island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is located immediately southwest of Norsel Point off the southwest coast of Anvers Island .

The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a survey of the island in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957, first as Breaker Islet , from 1960 in its current form, after the waves breaking on its coast.
