Carolin Langenhorst (born February 3, 1996 in Hamm ) is a German snowboarder .

Career

Langenhorst, who starts for WSV Bischofswiesen , ran her first races in the European Cup in Vratna in January 2010 and finished 24th in the parallel giant slalom and 23rd in the giant slalom. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal , she won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom. In March 2013, she was eighth in the parallel slalom and in the parallel giant slalom at the 2013 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Erzurum . She made her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in February 2014 in Sudelfeld and finished 35th in the parallel giant slalom. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2014 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , she achieved 12th place in the parallel slalom and 11th place in the parallel giant slalom.

In the 2014/15 season, Langenhorst made 12 appearances in the European Cup, seven times in the top ten. She won her first European Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Livigno and reached sixth place in the parallel ranking at the end of the season. At the 2015 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Yabuli , she achieved 12th place in the parallel giant slalom and 11th place in the parallel slalom. Her best World Cup result in the 2015/16 season was 26th in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza and in parallel slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo . In January 2016 she won her second European Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Stara Planina . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2016 in Rogla , she won the bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom. She was also fourth in the parallel slalom. At the end of the season she reached the 35th place in the Parallel World Cup, the Parallel Slalom World Cup and the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup. After first place in the parallel slalom at the European Cup in Landgraaf and two third places in Gerlitzen at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup in January 2017 with second place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla. At the season highlight of the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , she finished 16th in the parallel slalom and 14th in the parallel giant slalom. She finished the season in 14th place in the Parallel World Cup, 12th place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup and tenth place in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup. In the European Cup she won the parallel giant slalom ranking and came second in the parallel ranking. In the 2017/18 season, with six top ten placements, she came 12th in the Parallel Slalom World Cup and in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup and 11th in the Parallel World Cup. At the highlight of the season, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she was ninth in the parallel giant slalom. The following year she went to the World Championships in Park City on the 17th place in the parallel slalom and on the seventh place in the parallel giant slalom.

In the 2019/20 season, Langenhorst achieved four top ten placements, 11th place in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup, eighth place in the Parallel World Cup and seventh place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup.
