Breccia Island (from English breccia 'breccia' ) is a small and low island off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.5 km northwest of the Tiber Rocks in the northern section of Rymill Bay .
Trimetrogon and aerial photographs were taken in November 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). Robert Leslie Nichols (1904–1995), geologist on this expedition, named it after the plutonic breccias found here .
