The Rymill Bay is a bay on the Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the Gabriel Peninsula in the north and the Bertrand Piedmont Glacier in the south.
It was probably first sighted in 1909 during the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908-1910) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Measurements were made in 1936 by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1934) and in 1948 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The bay is named after the Australian polar explorer John Rymill (1905–1968), the leader of the British Graham Land Expedition.
