The Gabriel Peninsula ( Spanish Península Gabriel ; in Argentina Península Las Heras ) is a peninsula on the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the Neny Fjord in the north and Rymill Bay in the south. Which is located at its northwestern end of Red Bay and at the base of the Safety Col .
Chilean scientists named it after Gabriel Rojas Parker, captain of the Angamos on the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947). The namesake of the Argentine name is Juan Gregorio de Las Heras (1780–1866), a general in the Argentine War of Independence (1810–1818).
