The breeding nunatak is an isolated nunatak in the West Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . In the Ford Ranges it looms 16 km northeast of the Allegheny Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Nunatak after George H. Breeding, warehouse manager at Byrd Station in 1967.
