Breitendiel is a district of Miltenberg in the Miltenberg district in Bavaria .
geography
Breitendiel lies on the left bank of the Mud at 133 m above sea level. NHN . The federal highway 469 leads through the church village from Kleinheubach to Weilbach . To the west on the Bullauer Berg is the town of Mainbullau and to the east, beyond the Geißbuckel Monbrunn . The Madonnenlandbahn runs through Breitendiel .
history
Towards the end of the 19th century, the Breitendieler wine, the so-called donkey, was still being grown east of the Mud in the area of the now wooded upper Mühlrain , Im Esel and Lochwingert .
At the end of the 1960s a bypass road for the B 469 was built. In November 1970, 88 percent of the residents entitled to vote voted for an early connection to the city of Miltenberg. On January 1, 1971, the then independent municipality Breitendiel was incorporated.
