The Bremnesflaket ( Norwegian ) is an approximately 13 km long and glaciated area in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Heimefrontfjella it is between the XU-Fjella and the Sivorgfjella .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1987 after the town of Bremnes near Bergen , a center of resistance against the German occupation of Norway during World War II .
