Brian Basset

Brian Basset (born November 30, 1957 in Norwalk , Connecticut ) is an American comic artist .

Brian Basset was a cartoonist for the student newspaper while he was in high school and at Ohio State University . In 1978 he joined The Seattle Times , where he first worked as a cartoonist. In 1984 the comic strip Adam (later Adam @ Home ) started around the househusband Adam Newman with his wife and children, which is said to be colored autobiographically. In 2009 he gave the strip to the cartoonist Rob Harrell.

In 2000 he started his rather child-oriented comic strip Red and Rover about a boy with his dog. This strip was licensed and soon appeared in 200 daily newspapers. In 2012 he received the Reuben Division Award in the newspaper comic strip segment.
