Brian John Davidson

Brian John Davidson (born April 28, 1964 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Davidson grew up in Holywood , Northern Ireland . He studied law at Trinity College , Cambridge . Since 1985 he has worked as a diplomat for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office . From 2006 to 2010, Davidson was Chris Wood's successor at the British Consulate General in Guangzhou . From 2011 to 2015 he was the successor to Carma Elliot Consul General at the British Consulate General in Shanghai . Since 2016, Davidson has succeeded Mark Kent as the UK's Ambassador to Thailand . Davidson is married to Scott Chang.
