Mike Rigoberto Gelito Ott (born March 2, 1995 in Munich ) is a Filipino soccer player . The midfielder, who has a German father, was in the squad of the second team of the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg until the winter break of the 2016/17 season before he moved to Ang Thong FC in the second Thai division .

Private life

Ott has a German father and a Filipino mother. He is the younger brother of Manuel Ott , who is also a Philippine national player.

TSV 1860 Munich II

As a native of Munich, Ott joined the youth team of TSV 1860 Munich at an early age . On November 17, 2012 he made his debut with the men of the 2nd team in a 0-2 defeat against Eintracht Bamberg . In 25 games he scored 12 goals for the Lions.

1. FC Nuremberg

In April 2014 Ott signed a three-year contract with 1. FC Nürnberg , where he was also used in the 2nd team. When it became apparent that his contract with the club would not be renewed, he was given a month's leave to present himself at a tournament in the Philippines. Shortly afterwards, his move to the Thai second division club Ang Thong FC was announced.

National team

In June 2013 Ott was nominated for an international match against Hong Kong by the then national coach Michael Weiß , but was not used.

In September 2016 he was finally nominated by the new coach Thomas Dooley for the preparatory games for the Southeast Asian Cup 2016 . He played his first international match against Bahrain . There he was substituted on for Kevin Ingreso at halftime and scored after just 5 minutes to make it 1: 2 in the 1: 3 defeat. In the championship itself, however, he was not in the squad.
