Manuel Gelito Ott (born May 6, 1992 in Munich ) is a German - Filipino soccer player . He is a national team player for the Philippines. He is the older brother of Mike Ott .
Club career
Ott, who comes from Petershausen in the district of Dachau , started playing football at SV Ilmmünster, and later he played at FSV Pfaffenhofen. At TSV 1860 Munich he was active in the U-17 Bundesliga . In the summer of 2009 he came to Ingolstadt, where he was now part of the U-19 team. On March 24, 2010 he made his debut in the Bayern League for the second men's team of FC Ingolstadt ; meanwhile he is part of their squad.
In 2019 he moved to Thailand , where he signed a contract with the first division club Ratchaburi Mitr Phol in Ratchaburi . The club played in the first division, the Thai League . With Ratchaburi he was in the final of the FA Cup , but that they lost 1-0 to the first division club Port FC . After a year, he moved to the Philippines in 2020 and signed a contract with champions Ceres-Negros FC in Bacolod City
National team
Thanks to his mother from Boracay , Ott is eligible to compete in the national teams of the Philippines. In autumn 2009 he took part in the qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup in China with the Philippine U-19 selection. From January 2nd to January 13th, 2010 he completed a training camp in Manila with the Philippine senior team . He then traveled with the team to a friendly tournament in Taiwan , where he played his first senior international match against the Taiwanese national football team on January 16, 2010 in Kaohsiung . Ott was on the starting grid and was replaced in the 60th minute; the game ended 0-0.
