The Philippines Football League (PFL) is the top division of the national football association of the Philippines , previously the United Football League was the top division. The introduction of the league was decided by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) in September 2016 , the first season started in March 2017 with eight teams. Only seven clubs took part in the 2019 season.
