Brian Houston (born February 17, 1954 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is pastor of Hillsong Church , the largest parish in Australia.

Houston is the son of Frank and Hazel Houston, who worked as officers in the Salvation Army and later also became pastors. He has a brother and three sisters and has three children with his wife Bobbie, Joel, Ben and Laura. Joel Houston is Hillsong New York pastor and director of Hillsong United. Ben Houston is the Lead Pastor of Hillsong Los Angeles. Laura Houston works in Hillsong Youth Office in Sydney with her husband.

After three years of training at a Bible college, Brian Houston married his wife, Bobbie, in 1977. In 1983 they founded the "Hills Christian Life Center" together in Sydney , whose attendance at church services grew from 45 to 20,000 people in the coming years and has been called Hillsong Church since 1999. Houston has written 12 books.

Houston was President of the Assemblies of God from 1997 to 2009 , which have more than 200,000 members in Australia .

Hillsong Church became known for its music work and television programs, which are broadcast in 180 countries. In the meantime, large churches were founded in Kiev , London , Paris , Moscow , Cape Town , Stockholm , Düsseldorf , Munich and Constance and prepared in Amsterdam .
