Brian Michitti

Brian Joseph "Bruno" Michitti (born April 19,  1983 in Cincinnati ) is an American - Italian football player .

career

Michitti, whose grandfather comes from Abruzzo in Italy, played football at Hanover College ( Indiana ) in his home country, the United States . After graduating from college in 2005, his plan to switch to Europe as a professional football player initially failed , before the 2006 season he was then signed by the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns from the top German division GFL . However, he tore a cruciate ligament soon after the season opener. In 2007 he took up a position in Brussels , where he worked in the advertising industry and undertook business trips to numerous countries in the course of this profession. In the 2009 season he returned to the field and to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. In 2011 and 2012, Michitti, who measures 1.77 meters and was used in the safety position, became German champions with the team. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 he was also in the final of the German championship with the Hallers, but lost each time against the Braunschweig Lions . Michitti made international appearances for the Italian national team in 2016 and in the following years.

In 2017 he first played for the Lazio Marines in the first division of Italy , from August 2017 he was back on the field for Schwäbisch Hall. Michitti, who was now working full-time in Cologne , was again German champion with Schwäbisch Hall in October 2017. From 2018 he joined the Italian team Giaguari Turin and became a member of the coaching staff there.
