Brian Saramago (born November 9, 1998 in New Hyde Park , New York ) is an American football player in the position of a striker . Between 2015 and 2016 he was under contract with the New York Red Bulls II , the second professional team of the New York Red Bulls , with play in the third-rate North American United Soccer League and will start studying at Loyola University Maryland in 2016 .

Career

Brian Saramago was born on November 9, 1998 in the town of New Hyde Park on Long Island in the US state of New York, where he grew up and attended, among other things, the New Hyde Park Memorial High School , where he was already active as a football player. Subsequently, in 2014, he was signed by the major league soccer franchise New York Red Bulls and placed in its youth department. As a member of the U-15 / U-16 team of the New York Red Bulls Academy , he was very dangerous offensively and scored 31 goals in 32 games in the 2014/15 season. The following season 2015/16, which he completed for the Academy's U-17 / U-18 team, was also characterized by his scoring risk, with just as many hits in 25 championship games.

That year he also made the leap into professional football when he was first used in June 2015 for the New York Red Bulls II , the second professional team of the New York Red Bulls , with play in the third-rate North American United Soccer League . He made his professional debut on June 7, 2015 when coach John Wolyniec replaced him in a 2-2 away draw against FC Montréal from the 72nd minute for Juan Sebastián Sánchez , the shooter who took the lead 2-1. After he returned to a brief assignment a week later, three more brief appearances in the North American third division followed between mid and late August 2015. As a young player, he was elected to the US Soccer Development Academy Best XI of the Eastern Conference and was brought into the US U-17 and U-19 selection.

Shortly after he was nominated by U-19 team boss Brad Friedel in the 23-man squad for the Copa de Athletico in the Canary Islands , Loyola University Maryland announced that Brian Saramago will begin his studies at the university from the academic year 2016 and so will will be a member of the Loyola Greyhounds sports division men's soccer team. In the same year he was selected by the US scouting platform O When The Yanks as the country's top 20 player and immediately played in three international matches for the US U-19 national team. Since the university championship does not start until summer 2016, Brian Saramago continued to keep fit with the New York Red Bulls II and completed two further short appearances for the team in the United Soccer League in April 2016. However, there were no further missions.
