Brielower expansion is a residential area in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel in Brandenburg .

geography

The Brielower extension residential area is located in the north of the city of Brandenburg on state road 98, directly on the border with the Beetzsee municipality . On the Beetzsee side, beyond the city limits, is the Brielow extension . The transition from Brielow expansion to Brielow expansion is continuous. Both residential areas are only separated from each other by streets and place-name signs, so that they form a cohesive urban settlement. The name Brielower Extension is derived from the Beetzsee district of Brielow to the north . Brielow expansion and Brielow expansion are characterized by a large number of private homes . South of the Brielow expansion is a larger industrial area with a Heidelberg printing press plant . To the east there are some anthropogenic lakes that were formed in former clay pits.

traffic

A connection between the Westhavelländische Kreisbahnen and a Brielow extension stop was discontinued in the 1960s, and the track, which has ended blindly to the north since it was dismantled, is used as a storage facility for freight wagons. The Brielower expansion is served on weekdays by the Brandenburg an der Havel public transport company using the C city bus. In addition, the Brielower expansion means that regional buses operated by the Belzig transport company run from the city of Brandenburg to the Beetzsee community and beyond.
