Brigitte Flinspach

Brigitte Flinspach (* 24. March 1943 in Salzburg as Brigitte Kunze ) is a former Austrian politician ( Green ) and commercial employees. From 1989 to 1999 she was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Flinspach attended elementary school in Bregenz from 1949 to 1953 and then graduated from the Bregenz grammar school from 1953 to 1957. In 1957 she moved to the Bregenz Commercial Academy , where she also passed her Matura in 1961 . She then worked as a commercial clerk in various companies between 1961 and 1970. She was a housewife from 1970 to 1973 and moved to Germany, after which she worked again for various companies as a commercial clerk between 1973 and 1989. After she had been a professional politician from 1989 to 1999, she retired in 1999.

Politics and functions

Flinspach was a member of the Green Alternative and joined the Greens in 1987, where she was a member of the state executive of the party The Greens until 1995 . She was also a member of the Bregenz Green Forum. She was of 24 October 1989 to 4 October 1999 as members of the constituency Bregenz member of the Vorarlberg Parliament, where he worked as chairwoman of the culture committee. She was also a member of the Environment Committee, a member of the Social Policy Committee, a member of the Ombudsman Committee and a substitute member of the Committees for Control, Agriculture and Europe.

In terms of local politics, she was a substitute member of the Bregenz city council from April 27, 1990 to April 2, 2000, after which she was a member of the city council from April 2, 2000 to July 31, 2001. Then she was again a substitute member of the city council.

In addition to her political functions, Flinspach was heavily involved in development cooperation. From 2000 to 2009 she was chairwoman of the SÜDWIND Vorarlberg association and has been a member of the board there since 2009. She also worked on the board of the African Club Vorarlberg and was involved in the One World Group in Vorarlberg and in development projects in Mali . She is also a member of the Bregenz Senior Council and a volunteer at the Spielboden cultural initiative in Dornbirn .

Private

Flinspach was born the daughter of a business graduate and insurance employee Walter Kunze and his wife Gertrude. She is divorced and had a son in 1966.
