Brigitte Graune

Brigitte Graune (born March 14, 1961 in Varste ) is a former German javelin thrower .

In 1982 she became German junior champion. In the adult category she was twice third and once second before she won the German championship in 1989 and 1990. She won the bronze medal at the Universiade in 1987 and the silver medal in 1989. In the same year she was second at the European Cup in Gateshead and fourth at the World Cup in Barcelona, ​​starting for the European team. At the European Championships in 1990 in Split, she reached eleventh place.

Graune had a personal best of 64.94 meters, shot in Dortmund in 1989. The athlete, who grew up in Schwarme , started for the LG District Verden (1975-80), the ASV Cologne (1981-85) and the LG Bayer Leverkusen (from 1986).
