Brigitte Oetker

Brigitte Oetker (née Conzen) is a German art historian and professor at the Institute for Culture and Media Management at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater .

Life

Brigitte Oetker studied history , literature and art history in Aachen and Rome. From 1984 to 1990 she worked in Cologne as managing director of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft in the BDI eV and the ARA - Arbeitsring Abroad for Cultural Tasks eV Since 1989 Brigitte Oetker has published the Jahresring - yearbook for modern art on behalf of the Kulturkreis .

In Leipzig from 1994 to 1996 she was together with Mechthild von Dannenberg and Christiane Schneider responsible for the project Art in the Leipziger Messe , for which 25 international artists created permanent installations on the new grounds of the Leipziger Messe. In 1998 Brigitte Oetker curated the exhibition MAI 98 in the Josef Haubrich Kunsthalle Cologne together with Christiane Schneider . Since 2007 she has held a professorship for actions and actors in the visual arts at the Institute for Culture and Media Management in Hamburg .

From 2005 to 2012 she was a member of the board of trustees of the Art History Institute in Florence . In 2008 she curated the exhibition Poems of the Future in the gallery for contemporary art in Leipzig. Since 2007 she has been a member of the Foundation Board of the Charité Foundation and since 2010 a member of the Board of Trustees of the Friends of the Berliner Philharmoniker eV

She is married to the entrepreneur Arend Oetker . You live in Berlin-Grunewald.
