Brigitte Pfaffenberger

Brigitte Pfaffenberger (* 1937 in Nuremberg ) is a German artist.

From 1960 to 1965 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Gerhard Wendland , at the State University of Fine Arts in Kassel with Fritz Winter and in the etching workshops in Paris. In 1964 she received the Academy Prize for Painting in Nuremberg. From 1967 she attended the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Gunter Böhmer . In 1979 she received a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation , followed by other scholarships and artist residencies. Since 1995 the focus of her work has been on works with spatial reference. She lives in Stuttgart.

Works by Brigitte Pfaffenberger have been shown in numerous solo exhibitions since the 1970s, including 1980 in the Haus der Kunststiftung in Stuttgart , 1987 in the Kunsthaus Nürnberg , 1992 at the Kunstverein Rosenheim , 1993 in the Hagenbucher in Heilbronn and 1999 in the Haus der Schuhzunft in Ulm. Several of her works are in public collections, including the collection of graphics at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart , the Stuttgart regional council, the Esslingen district office, the city of Vienna and the city of Biel (Switzerland).
