The British and Irish Lions Tour 2021 will bring the British and Irish Lions , a selection of the best rugby union players from England , Ireland , Scotland and Wales , to South Africa from July to August 2021 . The Lions played a three-match international series against the South African Springboks as well as five games against various national teams. The last tour took the Lions to New Zealand in 2017 . The series ended in a draw. They were last guests in South Africa in 2009. This series was lost with 1: 2.
