Brittany Underwood (born July 6, 1988 in Newark , New Jersey ) is an American actress and singer .

life and career

Brittany Underwood was born in Newark , New Jersey in July 1988 to a Colombian mother and an English father. She grew up with her older sister Brigitte in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. In addition to the English language, she is fluent in the Spanish language. She also has a black belt in Taekwondo .

Underwood made her acting debut in 2005 in the crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit . That same year she auditioned for the role of Miley Stewart in Hannah Montana , but the role went to Miley Cyrus .

From May 2006 to January 2012 Underwood was in the role of Langston Wilde with the main cast of the daily soap Love, Lie, Passion . She then got the lead role of Loren Tate in the soap Hollywood Heights in 2012 . For both television series, she recorded songs that could be heard in the respective soap. In April 2014, the television film Death Clique ran with her in a central role on US television.

In December 2012, Underwood released their first single Flow . The accompanying album Brittany Underwood was released in June 2013.
