The Brockman Highway is a trunk road in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia . It connects the Bussell Highway in Karridale in the extreme southwest of the state with the South Western Highway near Bridgetown .

course

In Karridale, 14 km north of Augusta , the Brockman Highway branches off from the Bussell Highway (S10) to the east and takes over its designation as State Road 10. It accompanies the Blackwood River on its south bank almost to its end . It runs over long stretches through Karri and Jarrah forests in largely unpopulated areas. The only larger town after 76 km is Nannup , where it crosses the Vasse Highway (S10) and passes on its name as State Road 10 to this southbound highway.

From Nannup, the Brockman Highway pulls east as tourist route 251 (T251), initially leaving the banks of the Blackwood River. It crosses the Winston Hills and after another 46 km reaches the city of Bridgetown , again on the Blackwood River, where it ends on the South Western Highway (R1).
