Bromperidol (brand names: Bromidol , Bromodol, Impromen ) is a typical (classic) antipsychotic . It is used for the treatment of schizophrenia . It is almost identical to haloperidol , but is brominated instead of chlorinated. It is rarely used as a drug in everyday clinical practice.

A therapeutic advantage over other antipsychotics is that bromperidol only needs to be administered once a day due to its long half-life (HWZ 36h).
