Bronislovas Matelis

Bronislovas Matelis (born September 3, 1961 in Panevėžys ) is a Lithuanian journalist and politician .

Life

In 1983 Matelis graduated from the Panevėžys Hydromelioration Technical Center and in 1995 the diploma course in press and journalism and in 2012 the MBA course (organizational management) at the Vilniaus universitetas . From 1984 he worked for the press (magazine “Švyturys”, newspaper “Panevėžio tiesa”, weekly newspaper “Panevėžio savaitė”). In 1992 he founded the newspaper " Aukštaitijos rytas " and was its deputy editor, from 1992 to 1994 a correspondent for " Panevėžio rytas ". From 1994 to 1997 he was a correspondent in Panevėžys for the daily newspaper " Lietuvos rytas " and from 1997 to 2000 for the daily newspaper " Panevėžio balsas ". From 2000 he was editor-in-chief and publisher of "Panevėžio rytas".

From 1990 to 1995 he was a deputy in the Panevėžys City Council . He has been a Seimas member since November 2016 .
