Brooke Wales (born August 28, 1990 in Duvall , Washington ) is an American ski racer . She starts in all disciplines and achieves her greatest successes in the super-G and in the downhill as well as in the super combination .

Career

Brooke Wales contested her first FIS races in December 2005, with her first victories in January 2008. Since the 2008/2009 season , she has also competed regularly in the Nor-Am Cup . She achieved her first top 10 result in this racing series on December 15, 2008 with ninth place in the Super-G of Panorama . In the 2009/2010 season she was already in the top ten seven times, which meant that she was among the top ten in the downhill, super-G and super-combined disciplines for the first time. Wales continued to improve next winter. On February 10, 2011, she celebrated her first win in the Aspen Super-G, followed by a second five weeks later in the Whistler Super-G . In the 2010/2011 season she was fifth overall in the Nor-Am Cup as well as second in the Super-G classification, fourth in the super combination classification and sixth in the downhill classification.

After being accepted into the C-squad of the US ski team, Wales made her first appearances in the World Cup in December 2011 , but has not yet won any World Cup points. In the winter of 2011/2012 in the Nor-Am Cup she was fourth in the downhill classification with three podium places, seventh in the overall and giant slalom classification and ninth in the Super-G classification.
