The Brooks Point is a small and rocky headland on the Knox Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It is located 8 km west-northwest of Mallory Point on the west bank of Vincennes Bay .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map this headland for the first time. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named her in 1973 after John Brooks, a seaman in the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) on board the flagship USS Vincennes under the command of Charles Wilkes .
