The Mallory Point is a steep and rocky headland on the Knox Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It is north of Blunt Cove and rises from an ice cliff on the west bank of Vincennes Bay .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map this headland for the first time. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1955 after Charles William Mallory (1925–2002) of the United States Navy , who during Operation Windmill (1947–1948) supported the landing teams in setting up astronomical observation stations from the Kaiser Wilhelm II. Coast to the Budd coast .
