The Brown Cove Tarn is a lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
Brown Cove Tarn is northwest of Catstye Cam and north of Helvellyn . The lake has an unnamed tributary from the southwest. Its unnamed drain to the northeast merges into the Glenridding Beck .
The remains of a dam that was no longer destroyed and which once enlarged the lake can still be seen.
