The Glenridding Beck is a river in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Glenridding Beck arises on the north side of the Helvellyn and flows on the north side of the Catstye Cam in an easterly direction. The river empties into the settlement Glenridding in the Ullswater lake.
The water of the Glenridding Beck was used in the 19th century for work in the mines in the valley of Glenridding and the water of the Red Tarn , with which it is connected via the Red Tarn Beck , was dammed. The dam on the Red Tarn is no longer functional and the water flow is normal again.
