Brown Ridge is a bare, rocky and up to 1400  m high mountain ridge in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains , it extends over a length of 5 km starting from Nelson Peak in a north-northwest direction.

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after the American geologist Robert D. Brown, a member of a team of the survey that took place between 1962 and worked in the Patuxent Range in 1963 .
